Teaching Experience
2012-Present Arts and Design Educator: Teacher of Studio Art 1 (Upper School Foundations Course), Painting & Drawing 1 and 2, Sculpture (US Electives), Studio Art 6, Studio Art 7 (Middle School). Advisor to 7th Grade students. Advisor for the Art in Action Club (High School). Co-Advisor to the Emerging Technologies Club (High School). Formerly co-taught Physical Computing 7 (STEAM based Discovery class) and Essentials of Living and Learning in the 21st Century (9th grade). Integrate laser cutting, 3-D printing, and various other technologies into art and design course curriculums. Produce portrait, landscape, and still-life paintings, by commission, in oil, watercolor, and acrylic.
Create original murals for homes and hospitals.
2007-12 Senior Portrait Painter, Yigal Ozeri Studio LLC, Mana Contemporary Art Center, Jersey City, NJ. Responsible for painting portraits and figures in collection of artworks. Works produced in the studio were exhibited in galleries, art fairs, and museums in the United States and internationally.
2002-04 Art Director, Jo-Ann Magazine, SoHo Publishing Company, New York
Associate Art Director, Vogue Knitting International Magazine, Family Circle Home Crafts. Designed layouts and advertisements for magazines and approved layouts of junior designers. Assisted with photo shoots and edited film for placement in magazines.
2003 Editorial Illustrator, Family Circle Easy Knitting Magazine, New York. Created illustrations for magazine column based on personal stories about the lives of knitters. Researched content of the articles to develop thoughtful and appropriate artwork.
